This 2002 model is a 25-piece limited edition in platinum and stainless steel, and is one of the rarest and most exceptional of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronographs.

The Design (0:43)
It’s a fantastic monotone piece measuring in at 39mm of stainless steel surrounding a gray Tapisserie dial on a platinum and stainless steel bracelet. Additionally, this incredible model boasts hours, minutes, small seconds, date, and chronograph features.

The Bracelet (1:52)
Every Royal Oak and Offshore bracelet takes about 10-12 hours to finish by hand depending on what material is used. On this particular piece, the combination of the polish and intermediate linked faces contrast with satin tops. Additionally, there is an AP logo-style folding clasp with a single-trigger release.

The Case (2:44)
Leveraging the same degree of fine finishing as the bracelet, the case and the geometry of the bezel flank are all impressive and sharp. The crown side features crown shoulders, and the bevel continues from end-to-end across the crown guards.

The Dial (3:49)
This is a traditional pantagraph-cut dial with hands and indices made from white gold. It also features lovely sunken registers with white on black printing, as well as white varnished hands.

The Movement (4:20)
The timepiece is powered by a 1185 caliber, and is set apart from every other standard Royal Oak Chronograph in that it has a display caseback—that’s a big deal because normally, you can’t see this movement in a Royal Oak Chronograph. Additionally, it has a 40-hour power
reserve, a quick set for the date, and is adjusted high horology style in five positions.
