The Chopard Alpine Eagle measures 41mm in what Chopard watchmakers are describing as "Lucent steel." This steel is created through a two-step tempering process, and the result is said to be 50% more scratch resistant than standard 316L watch steel. A full hand-finished steel bracelet includes a system that permits each individual lug on both sides of the deployment clasp to be removed for precise sizing..

The dial of the Alpine Eagle is stamped to create the distinctive spiral "eagle's eye" texture, and blue or grey galvanizing completes the aesthetic. All indices and Roman numerals are appliqués, and Chopard has employed extraordinarily bright C1 Super Luminova to ensure legibility at night.

The Alpine Eagle's case design is based on the 1980 Chopard St. Moritz. Bezel bolts on the front side of the watch project through the case and caseback in order to create a sandwich structure that combines with a screw-down crown to ensure 100-meter water resistance. Inside the case, Chopard's manufacture automatic caliber 01.01 provides 60-65 hours of power reserve, COSC Swiss chronometer certification, stop seconds (hacking), a quickset date, a 28,800 vibration rate, and 31 pivot jewels for smooth running. A sapphire display caseback provides a view of the mechanism.
