The Grand Seiko Spring Drive USA Edition SBGA387 is a 558 piece limited edition luxury watch designed to celebrate the creation of Grand Seiko of America. This is the first independent Grand Seiko company to be established internationally.

The dial of the Grand Seiko Spring Drive SBGA387 is created to reference the Japanese painting style known as "Kira Zuri," or "shiny painting." Each dial is stamped, galvanized, and lacquered to produce this effect. The blue dial of the SBGA387 is unique to this model an will be found on no other Seiko or Grand Seiko product.

Inside the 100-meter water resistant steel case, Grand Seiko fits a Spring Drive automatic caliber 9R65. It boasts a three day power reserve, power reserve indicator, stop seconds (hacking seconds), a quick set date, and precision equal to or surpassing +/- 15 seconds per month. Built and tuned by Grand Seiko watchmakers, Spring Drive movements combine quartz precision with purely mechanical drive of all hands and wheels.

The 1967 44GS case form - known as "polyhedron" informs the shape of the SBGA387. Grand Seiko employs its famed tin plate "zaratsu" mirrored case finish on both flanks of this complex form, and all cases are hand finished.

Each Grand Seiko Spring Drive US Boutique limited edition is encased in 40mm of stainless steel surrounding a blue dial on a stainless steel bracelet. Functions include hours, minutes, seconds, date, and power reserve indicator. The watch also measures 12.6mm in thickness and 46mm from lug-to-lug.
