Watches & Wonders concluded last month and the watch industry is still feeling the lasting effects from the worldwide digital event. In the immediate aftermath, representatives from our global offices got together to discuss their reactions and the impact they foresee in their individual markets.
Discussions range widely starting with Josh Srolovitz in Hong Kong breaking down how the Rolex releases will create price fluctuations for the Rolex Daytona and GMT-Masters, respectively. Patrik Hoffmann in Switzerland and Lucca Bozzano of the Middle East turn their attention to the other heavy hitter, Patek Philippe. Between the Annual Calendar and new Calatrava, they consider these releases a great success for the brand and a new benchmark set. Glenn Meijer of Singapore joins the conversation with mention of the increasing customization from IWC along with sparking Manjos’s unbridled enthusiasm when discussing the brilliance of A. Lange & Sohne.
The new limited edition brass movement F.P. Journe and H. Moser & Cie Tiger Eye dials are both covered and coveted by the group as they additionally discuss key releases from the event and what each could mean for specific brands. In sum, our international panel were satisfied to say the least, and particularly excited to see watch events both returning and evolving.
