The watch industry never rests and neither does Mike Manjos who is back in Philly this week to take a look at what some independent brands have been up to this past year. But first he shows off some watches we took in including the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Calendar in rose gold (Q3912420), the Patek Philippe Aquanaut Chronograph on an orange rubber strap (5968A), and the futuristic Ressence Type 1 Slim.
The main topic of the night is split into two parts. Mike starts us off by briefly discussing the new purchasing model for the A. Lange & Sohne Odysseus and his views on it. He then moves into a conversation with Patrik Hoffmann, Executive Vice President of WatchBox Switzerland on this week's The Pulse. With Patrik's ear to the ground in the world of Swiss manufacturers, the duo discuss independent watch brands that are deserving of some more attention. They touch on watchmakers like Louis Moinet, Chronoswiss, and Kari Voutilainen.
Finally, Mike wraps up the show per usual with the Rising Demand section. With Watches & Wonders 2021 around the corner, he speculates on some pieces he'd love to get in beforehand. The Patek Philippe Calatrava (5119J), the A. Lange & Sohne Datograph Perpetual, and platinum Rolex Daytona with ice blue dial are all discussed. Tune in and don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe!
Contact one of our client advisors [[email protected]] to talk about the process of selling your watch to WatchBox – whether you have one of these models or another timepiece you wish to sell or trade. Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe, and join us on Monday at 4pm EST on Clubhouse as we keep this conversation going!
