While previous generations of the Overseas employed customer calibers - including a Jaeger LeCoultre movement for the generation 2 Overseas Dual Time - the 2018 Overseas Dual Time 7900V features an in house Vacheron Constantin caliber 5110DT. It boasts a Geneva Hallmark engraving, automatic winding of a 60-hour power reserve, and a sensational compass rose engraved winding mass. The movement is adjusted in five positions like a chronometer, is visible beneath a sapphire display case back, and is protected against magnetic fields up to 25,000 A/M.

Vacheron Constantin ships each stainless steel Overseas Dual Time with a full bracelet, a rubber strap, and an alligator leather strap; the two straps include an accessory steel deployment clasp. Quick-release lugs allow all three bands to be replaced using only bare hands.

A silver sunburst dial with black-oxidized hands, hours indices, and sub-displays allows easy reading of the time; super luminova paint enables effortless reading by night.

Each Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time 7900V is encased in 41mm of stainless steel surrounding a silver dial on a stainless steel bracelet. Features include hours, minutes, seconds, date, AM/PM indicator, and GMT. The watch also measures 13.1mm in thickness and 48.9mm from lug-to-lug.
