At Watches & Wonders 2026, Grand Seiko brings one of its most ambitious lineups yet — from a game-changing new diver to jaw-dropping Micro Artist Studio masterpieces. Tim Mosso goes hands-on with every novelty.
The Spring Drive U.F.A. Ushio 300 Diver (SLGB023 / SLGB025) is Grand Seiko's smallest diver ever at 40.8mm — and its most accurate. Powered by the new Caliber 9RB1, it delivers ±20 seconds per year precision with 300m water resistance. Available in ocean blue and coastal green, built from High-Intensity Titanium with a redesigned micro-adjust clasp.
The SBGZ011 "Mystic Waterfall" is a hand-engraved marvel from the Micro Artist Studio — a 40mm Platinum 950 case with the 44GS form, engraved across the case, dial, bezel, and lugs to evoke the spray of Tateshina Otaki Falls. Powered by the ultra-thin Caliber 9R02 with an 84-hour power reserve. Limited to 50 pieces.
The SLGB006 "Ice Forest at Dawn" brings the U.F.A. platform to precious metal for the first time — a 37mm 18k yellow gold case with a jet-black dial adorned with golden flecks recreating the rare "sun pillar" phenomenon above Shinshu's frost-covered forests. Boutique exclusive, limited to 80 pieces.
The SBGH376 "Sakura-Wakaba" is a pure mechanical dress watch — 38mm in 18k yellow gold, powered by Hi-Beat Caliber 9S85, with a dial capturing the fleeting moment when cherry blossoms meet fresh spring leaves.
The SBGY043 "Iwao Blue" is a manual-winding Spring Drive in the Elegance Collection, featuring a deep indigo katsuiro dial with an iwao rock-face texture inspired by Japan's ancient stone formations.
The SBGX363 & SBGX365 "Hana-Ikada" round out the collection — a new 32mm quartz pair, the smallest Grand Seiko ladies' models to date, with pale pink and deep blue dials evoking cherry blossom petals drifting across a river's surface. Powered by Caliber 9F51 at ±10 seconds per year.
