The dial side of the watch includes an openwork and blue galvanized sterling silver dial that reveals the balance cock, micrometrical regulator, motion works, crown wheel, going train, and escapement.

Moritz Grossmann caliber 107 is a manual wind movement with a 42 hour power reserve and a beat rate of 18,000 vibrations per hour. All bridges and plates are composed of "German silver," a highly corrosion resistant alloy of nickel, copper, and zinc. All screws are fire-annealed to a rich violet hue, and the hands have been fired until cobalt blue. Moritz Grossmann's unique setting and stope seconds system has been incorporated. Pull the crown out, and it returns to its neutral position by spring action; set the time, and then press the spring-loaded "return" trigger at four o'clock. The result is precision setting of the watch without the risk of free-play exhibited by watches with conventional setting systems.
