The 2015 Patek Philippe 5370P-001 Split-Seconds Chronograph was one of the most exciting watches of Baselworld 2015. Launched as an application watch for sale on approval buy Thierry Stern himself, the rattrapante Patek Philippe 5370P is a luxury watch built in quantities of several dozen per year. A dial of black fired enamel with tachymeter scale and Breguet style Arabic numerals compounds the rarity of this chronograph; Patek Philippe offers few black enamel dials even on grand complications. Patek's platinum case features a set of channeled lugs with polished cabochons and a sculpted case band. The manufacture caliber CHR 29-535 possess a separate column wheel function selector for both primary and split seconds functions, an overcoil hairspring, a Patek Philippe Gyromax balance, and a fully jeweled lateral clutch. The 65-hour power reserve is complemented by a stop seconds feature and a modern 28,800 VPH beat rate. The Patek Philippe 5370 features a 41mm platinum case with a flawless diamond set between the lugs at six o'clock. Its concave bezel surrounds a black enamel dial with applied white gold Breguet style Arabic numerals. This Patek Philippe rattrapante chronograph is mounted to a black alligator strap with a platinum Calatrava Cross deployant buckle. Functions include hours, minutes, small-seconds, split-second chronograph and tachymeter. The watch also measures 13.9mm in thickness and 49.8mm from lug-to-lug.
