The new caliber 29 535 PS Q is a manual wind movement with a 65-hour power reserve, two column wheels, a Gyromax free sprung balance, and a modern beat rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour. Patek Philippe finally integrates stop seconds (hacking), and a Breguet overcoil hairspring permits six-position adjustment to chronometer like timing standards. Each Patek Philippe 5204R is guaranteed to run no worse than -3/+2 seconds per day as delivered from the factory in Geneva.

An opaline silver dial with rose gold appliqué hour indices permits easy reading of the perpetual calendar, civil time, and split seconds chronograph registers. Day, date, month, moon phase, lead year cycle, and day-night displays offer a complete calendar; the railroad track seconds ring permits easy reading of chronograph time down to fractions of a second.

This Patek Philippe Grand Complications Perpetual Calendar Chronograph is encased in 40.2mm of rose gold surrounding a silver dial on a dark brown leather strap. Functions include hours, minutes, seconds, perpetual calendar, moonphase, chronograph, and day/night indicator. The watch also measures 14.5mm in thickness and 47.1mm from lug-to-lug.
