The Rolex GMT-Master II "Batman" 116710BLNR was originally released at Baselworld 2013, and now nearly a decade later, this model is hotter than ever.

The Design (0:28)
Charismatic and easy to wear, this watch flaunts a striking black and blue bezel. The “Batman” timepiece is an interesting evolution of the GMT-Master II, and the first ever black and blue bezel from Rolex—not to mention, the first ever blue 24-hour GMT hand. Additionally, it boasts an all-solid linked milled clasp Oyster bracelet in steel which makes it feel just as substantial as a gold Rolex from previous generations.

The Case (2:57)
The “Batman” features a robust supercase that gives you the visual impact of wearing a big watch without actually having a big watch. Additionally, it’s satin-finished on its tops, polished on its flanks, and it has a robust crown that gives the piece an impressive 100m water resistance.

The Bezel (3:30)
At the heart and soul of this model, the bezel insert is blue and black ceramic. Again, this combination was a historic first for Rolex which is appealing to many collectors. Not to mention, ceramic is very scratch-resistant so between that material and the sapphire that caps the watch, the “Batman” will likely look great for years to come. Lastly, the bezel is bi-directional typical in GMT fashion, meaning that this is a pilot’s bezel that can be temporarily set to read three time zones.

The Movement (4:18)
Featuring the automatic caliber 3186, the “Batman” boasts a 48-hour power reserve and is a COSC-certified Swiss chronometer. However, Rolex takes it a step further, labeling it a superlative chronometer—it’s guaranteed +2 or -2 seconds per 24 hours or better.
