Wei Koh, founder of Revolution Magazine and The Rake, joins WatchBox for a special series during his quick trip to Philadelphia. While Wei was in the city of brotherly love, he dives deep with Tim Mosso into the culture of the city to share a unique perspective, and, of course, talk the watch talk.
In this special WatchBox x Revolution piece filmed on the Rocky Steps located at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Wei and Tim dive into innovations that changed industries, specifically the film and watch industry, forever. In the film industry it was the invention of the steadicam, specifically for the Rocky tracking shot allowing dynamic movement with the camera, and it was the introduction of shock protection in the watch industry as a way to mitigate potential damage to the essential components of the movement. Not only do they talk about origination, but they also dive into functionality and break down the innovations that protect against shock.
