At Watches & Wonders 2026, Patek Philippe marks the 50th anniversary of the Nautilus while presenting an ambitious range of complications across several collections. Tim Mosso reviews the key highlights.

The Nautilus 50th Anniversary Collection comprises four references, all featuring a distinctive saturated cobalt blue dial unique to this edition. The ref. 5810/1G is a 41mm white gold Nautilus with a 240 micro rotor movement, slimmed to 6.9mm through the elimination of the seconds hand — limited to 2,000 pieces. The ref. 5610/1P is the midsize anniversary edition at 38mm in platinum, also with the 240 micro rotor — limited to 2,000 pieces. A third white gold reference offers the 5810 configuration on a strap with invisibly set baguette diamond hour indices — limited to 1,000 pieces. The ref. 5958 is the most unexpected: a desk clock in 50.65mm diameter, housing an eight-day power reserve with day and date — limited to 100 pieces.

The ref. 5322G is a 41mm white gold dual time and 24-hour alarm in lacquered gradient blue and green dial variants. A more wearable evolution of the ref. 5520, retaining the 15-minute increment digital setting system, 24-hour functionality, automatic winding with 52-hour power reserve, and a minute repeater-style striking mechanism with centrifugal governor.

The ref. 5249R is Patek Philippe's first modern automaton wristwatch — a 43mm rose gold officer's case with hunter caseback, depicting La Fontaine's fable of the fox and the crow in hand-engraved precious metal. Time displayed on demand.

The ref. 7047G is a 38mm minute repeater with micro rotor automatic winding in a bold color palette.

The ref. 5204G-010 is a 40mm white gold split-seconds perpetual calendar in red, white, and blue.

The ref. 5227G-015 updates the automatic Calatrava with a salmon dial and hidden hunter caseback.

The ref. 6105G is the most technically ambitious piece — a 47mm white gold celestial complication with lug-less case and integrated rubber strap. It displays sunrise and sunset times adjustable for daylight saving, a star chart of constellations overhead at any given time, lunar phase and lunation, and sidereal time. Powered by the 240 micro rotor with 48-hour power reserve.
