Tonight, Tim showcases his newest luxury watch, a Dan Royter DR02 chronograph with custom dial, strap, and movement finish. In addition to his latest personal timepiece, Tim shares a collection of seven sub-$10,000 luxury watches that watch collectors need to buy this summer.
The Rolex Oyster Perpetual 39mm is legend in the making. Only sold from 2015 to 2020, the Oyster Perpetual 114300 was rarely purchased when new. Rare Rolex sports watches in stainless steel are the ultimate future collector's item, and this Oyster Perpetual is no exception. With Rolex dial color options such as "dark rhodium," "red grape," and "white grape," this is a fun reference that's sized for both men and women. Now that the 39mm Rolex Oyster Perpetual has been discontinued, buyers have taken notice. However, the Rolex 114300 -- even with desirable dials -- still can be found for less than $10,000 preowned.
Omega launched the Speedmaster Chronoscope in 2021 -- in the process resurrecting a chronograph name from the heady 2000s. Omega Chronoscope models including the 329.30.43.51.03.001 feature a 43mm case in stainless steel or bronze gold. This new Omega Speedmaster chronograph includes a distinctive "triple scale" dial and bezel that include a tachymeter, a telemeter, and a pulsometer. Omega equips a new manual wind caliber 9908 co-axial Master Chronometer that allows the new Chronoscope to measure only 13.2mm thick. The Omega Speedmaster Chronoscope in stainless steel with a full bracelet retails for $8,650
For 2022, Breitling has launched a new collection of Navitimer chronographs to celebrate the Breitling Navitimer's 70th anniversary. The original circular slide rule flight calculator gains a new "Mint Green" dial for boutique exclusive reference AB0138241L1P1. The Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 also can be ordered with a "copper" dial or an "ice blue" sunburst dial. Breitling caliber B01 powers all versions of this Navitimer, and it includes extensive refinements. The B01 is an automatic chronometer chronograph with a 70-hour power reserve, vertical clutch, column wheel, and a COSC certification. The 2022 Breitling Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 in stainless steel has a retail price of $9,100
All of this plus watch collector wrist shots will be featured in this episode of "Watches Tonight!"
