Market Wrap with Mike Manjos

Watches & Wonders coverage continues here at WatchBox and we brought all of our global offices in for this one. Zoe Abelson (Hong Kong), Christophe Nicaise (Middle East), Patrik Hoffmann (Switzerland), and Glenn Meijer (Singapore) all sit down with Mike Manjos to have a conversation about the upcoming event.
Our hosts start us off by giving us a look into their offices and how they have been doing in the new year plus some of their favorite pieces they've picked up. With Gerald Genta watches rising in Singapore and independent brands becoming more popular in Hong Kong and Switzerland, the hosts break down the geographical differences of the watch market. An H. Moser & Cie Streamliner and Daniel Roth Elipsocurvex Chronomax along with some others are featured as pieces we've been bringing in.
The conversation then shifts to predictions for Watches & Wonders. Patek Philippe and Rolex are obviously in the spotlight with changes to the Explorer II, Patek Annual Calendars, and possibly Daytonas are all discussed. Glenn throws IWC in the ring with hopeful changes to the Ingenieur mentioned along with the Big Pilot. The group also has speculation as to what the effect will be for independent brands versus the big name players with a virtual event will end up being.
Contact one of our client advisors [[email protected]] to talk about the process of selling your watch to WatchBox – whether you have one of these models or another timepiece you wish to sell or trade. Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe, and join us on Monday at 4pm EST on Clubhouse as we keep this conversation going!
