Mike is back in Philly and ready for a follow-up on last week's episode where he previewed the upcoming watch auctions with analysis of how things ended up and what they mean for the future of certain brands. But first, as always, he's showing some truly standout watches. He starts us off with the Rolex Yacht-Master on an Oysterflex bracelet to create a perfect summer watch. He also hits on the Rolex Datejust (116139) with tuxedo dial, one of his favorite configurations that you don't see often enough. He caps us off with the seriously impressive Patek Philippe Annual Calendar (5960P) with deep blue dial.
The main story of the week is the Geneva watch auctions. Mike was keeping his eyes on the Patek Philippe pieces to see if they'd be able to retain their strength in the market and they did not disappoint with the 5074R Perpetual Calendar Minute Repeater especially one to watch. He also was very happy to see the A. Lange & Sohne Odysseus and other pieces from the watchmaker go for new heights. Along with that, tourbillon and Chronometre pieces from F.P. Journe continue to do nothing but rise which creates an exciting market and brand to watch.
Watch SKUs:
Rolex Yacht-Master - 4459640
Rolex Datejust - 4459269
Patek Philippe Annual Calendar - 4458832
